The Rules
The Basics
Rule #1- No member shall harass another member. Respect must be shown to everyone who has chosen to share their free time writing with us. We wouldn't want to scare anyone away.
Rule #2- Members shall remain active within the game. This means posting at least once a week with all characters and chatting with other members. There will be monthly activity checks to determine who remains active in the game. Cuts will be made accordingly.
Rule # 3- Cont. of Rule #2. If you choose to apply for a canon character you must post for your character within a week of being accepted. If you have not you will receive a friendly nudge from the staff. Life happens. We know that, but major canons should remain active in the game. If you have not notified the staff that you will be MIA for a period of time, after two weeks of inactivity your character will be archived and the canon reopened. [NEW 11/1/2016]
Rule #4- Members shall not write outside of our PG-13 rating. This means no overtly offensive language, smut or extreme violence (lets be real, this is TWD. Don't be too detailed or crude however). Mild adult language and situations are allowed.
Characters
Rule #1- Members are allowed three (3) characters within the game. More may be permitted by staff if a member has shown sufficient activity within the game.
We encourage members to apply for CANONS. These individuals have history with each other and provide a way for new members to immerse themselves in the plot. Original characters are also welcomed but they must fit into the plot. We discourage members from creating characters so far removed from the plot as to never come across other characters. For this reason, all characters should remain in Virginia.
Rule #2- Members should attempt to write for both a female and a male character. This is not a requirement for the simple fact that some writers have a preference. The staff may implement a ban if we have more females than males and vice versa.
Rule #3 Please ask the writer of a canon before creating a relative/friend. Enemies can be created without the writer's approval.
Rule #4 Please make characters as realistic as possible. No super humans, no all knowing characters and please no Mary sues or Gary Lous. Give your character flaws. It makes them more personable.
The Application
Rule #1: Members should complete the application to their best ability. This means putting a fair bit of thought into their characters (especially canons) before applying for them. If you choose to take on a canon character you are agreeing to be active.
Rule #2: Please wait for your application to be reviewed and accepted before posting. This includes posting in the claims section.
Avatars/Signatures
Rule #1: Avatar sizes are 200x200. Avatars should be an image of your chosen character.
