"Oh, Reverend Shane's preaching to you now, boy."
APPEARANCE:
Mikey stands a slender 6 feet tall. He's quite handsome, possessing a baby face which he uses to his advantage, especially with women. His head is topped with long baby fine dark hair that comes past his shoulders. His dark eyes look out at you with a deceiving innocence and crinkle when he smiles. And when he smiles he flashes bright white teeth that causes dimples to highlight his mouth.
PERSONALITY:
In general, Mikey is a nice guy but since he was an only son he is also a bit spoiled. He's quite the ladies man, in love with the idea of love and always falling in and out of love with the next pretty face. But don't think of him as flighty or shallow. He is a very loyal friend.
HISTORY:
John and Erika Enfield were married for three years before they had their son. Mikey's father was an over the road truck driver and was seldom home so Mikey and his mother became very close.
When Mikey was seven years old his parents had another of their terrible argument. In a drunken rage John left his wife and son, disappearing into the night and was never heard of again. In order to raise her growing son, got work at a sewing factory but supplemented her income by taking in mending and alterations in her home. She also took in sewing for people, making shirts and dresses that looked store bought.
Mikey loved his mother and learned to respect women because of her. And all was fine until Mikey went through puberty. It was like a madness that overtook him and he became rebellious. At age sixteen he dropped out of high school.
Later talking to a guy wearing a biker kutte he inquired about what the club was and was invited to one of their recruiting parties they held on occasion.
Well, needless to say he loved it and inquired about joining. He was told that he needed to graduate from high school first (this helped cut down on recruiting minors) and so he did as they asked. He graduated - barely - and then he began to do small chores for the club from time to time and getting paid under the table. Things like cleaning the clubhouse, sweeping the parking lot, cleaning toilets, doing general chores no one else liked to do.
After a time, when he proved himself trustworthy, he became a Prospect. Now he is earning his way up through the ranks. When he turned 21 he got a job at a bar called Bimbo's Bar & Grill on the edge of Richmond. He helps his mother financially and things were looking up for them.
But then the day came when his mother got sick. She had come home early from work and immediately laid down in her bed. Mikey, who had been in his own bedroom playing on his computer, checked on his mother but she was sleeping.
When he finished he went to check on his mother but she had changed into some strange lunatic that attacked and tried to bite him. Fighting her off he pushed his mother away and ran out of the room, closing the door. Instead of simply opening the door all his mother did was growl and claw at it.
Terrified he rushed downstairs to call an ambulance, but there was no answer. As he stood there with the phone in hand there came blood curdling screams from outside. People were running for their lives chased by other people that looked like his mother.
Closing and locking the front door he sat on his couch in a shocked numbness. Turning the TV on to try to get some info on the news there was a alert telling people to stay inside and not go outside. That there was a deadly virus that was making people sick but then these people were changing into something akin to the undead.
But then some of his biker friends came over to get him telling him it was too dangerous to stay in the city as the Army was dropping bombs on downtown Richmond.
As his mother growled menacingly behind her bedroom door Mikey quickly packed as many clothes as he could find as his friends raided the kitchen for food. Less than ten minutes later five bikers, including him, drove away in their Harley's and out into the countryside.
Luckily they all had weapons and gave Mikey a .32 caliber pistol and a box of bullets. Constantly on the move, the group of bikers siphoned gas from abandoned vehicles and scrounged for food wherever they could.
He lost one friend in a shoot out with other survivors then lost two more when they were attacked by what they called lame brains. Another friend committed suicide and his last friend simply left.
Mikey was now on his own doing the best he could, occasionally meeting survivors willing to share some of their food with him and others trying to steal his. Basically right now he is surviving moment to moment, hoping to find food and not get shot or attacked.
"I hereby declare we have spaghetti Tuesdays every Wednesday"
"I am not drunk," he answered her in a matter-of-fact tone but didn't slur his words. "I'm just feeling really good at the moment. Just do me one favor. Heat up some water in the kettle on the stove, if you would please. I think I need a cup of coffee. There's some instant coffee on the counter top."
With that he stood upright and took a step forward, stumbling slightly but didn't fall down as he made his way over to the couch and plopped down on it.
"I have had some kinda night tonight," he pulled the bow tie off his tux and opened the top of his still pristine white shirt. "I almost got in a fight tonight, Good thing the Police Chief and the Fire Chief were both there," he continued with a slight chuckle.
Taking his dress shoes off he carefully put them aside then and propped his feet on the coffee table. Picking up the remote he switched on the TV and changed it to a rodeo then rested his arms on the back of the couch.
"Oh! You are not going to guess who I saw there tonight. I'll give you three guesses."
"The whole world's having a tough time"
